Up for auction is a set of 4 Hoosier 33.0/5.0-6 A40A compound racing go kart tires that have been professionally mounted on beautiful new VanK 6.5" wide polished aluminum low volume wheels. These are the newest Pro Maxx style from VanK which use less air and are perfectly true.  These are custom built wheels as they were machined then highly polished (one off set of wheels).  They look fantastic!  These tires were removed from a fresh case of tires and the plastic was removed for the pictures. They were professionally mounted on September 25, 2013.  They are would be great for a bar stool or wagon project or to race. They are backspaced at 4 inches. Here are the specifics for this set:

4 - 33.0 / 5.0  - 6 New Hoosier A40A racing go kart tires mounted on new VanK 6.5 inch wide Pro Maxx polished aluminum wheels (American bolt pattern - 3 on 2.5 inches backspaced at 4").   The tire measure 32 3/8 inches in circumference with 8 lbs of air.

This set of tires is packaged up and ready to ship.  They retail at well over $350 but I'm starting the auction at $.99 and will sell to the highest bidder regardless of price so bid accordingly!  Absolutely no junk here!  Shipping will be a flat rate of $25 anywhere in the continental US.  Compare these tires to some of the absolute junk for sale on eBay.

Shipping for this auction will be a flat rate of $25.00 anywhere in the continental US

Google continues autonomous car tests [w/video]

Mon, 02 Apr 2012

Google is leading the charge towards the production of a fully autonomous car, releasing a video earlier this week of the car being tested on a programmed route. Steve Mahan, who is 95 per cent blind, successfully tested the car with Google engineers and a member of the local police close at hand should something go awry. Google kitted out a Toyota Prius with its software, taking the shape of a spinning cylinder on the car's roof, which senses traffic or activity close to the car and automatically adapts to its situation.

Autoweek in review: What you might have missed

A 1933 Alfa Romeo took home the top-prize “Gold Cup” from the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este this past week. The owner purchased the car in 2002, fulfilling his boyhood dream of owning it. Chrysler said it will drop the Jeep Compass and will replace the Town & Country minivan with a crossover.

Ford KA – the range grows for 2010

Mon, 25 Jan 2010

Ford has revamped the KA range for 2010 The new Ford KA has been with us for a year now. We first did a Ford KA review back in November 2008 and found it to be a great little car. Still with some of the DNA of the original KA coursing through its oil, it was a credible re-interpretation of the original.
